It’s been pretty quiet around here. I’ve been watching movies, shopping with Mom, playing with Wesley, and napping! All that’s about to change, as Monday I will step into the ‘hallowed halls of higher knowledge’ and begin my second year of college! I’m actually glad; I’m looking forward to the routine the new school year will bring. Also, I applied for a job at a grocery store… if you think of me, pray for me that I get the job, because I love the store and would LOVE to work there 🙂
‘If I cannot hear ‘the sound of rain’ long before the rain falls, and then go out to some hilltop of the Spirit, as near to my God as I can and have faith to wait there with my face between my knees, though six or sixty times I am told ‘There is nothing’, till at last there arises a little cloud out of the sea, then I know nothing of Calvary love.’
Other news: it’s been insanely wet around here. Maybe because of Hurricane Harvey? August is not normally a rainy month here in Texas, but it feels like the tropics around here – and we don’t even live near the coast! Everything’s green, wet, and humid. Almost every day it sprinkles and drips and pours and rains! So I took the opportunity to create a Sunday Blues-Buster thematically schemed around the concept of – rain!
I have 2 songs to share with you guys. The first is a relaxing little ballad from Priscilla Ahn. The second is a song from Andrew Peterson. If it’s raining where you are, you can listen to these songs, and make yourself a warm beverage. If it’s not raining where you are, just do the same thing and pretend it’s raining 🙂
Also, Wesley and I did a photo shoot of him in his rain coat. And he’s pretty adorable…
You guys are awesome! How is your week going? Let me know in the comments – I love hearing from you. Have a happy Sunday!
