Grief and Grace

We all share terrible, piercing, common grief.  Yet somehow, we all receive common grace, maybe if it’s only just enough to live another second.  On this rainy day before Thanksgiving, my family and I received some sad news.  Your family may have too.  Prompting this photo journal:

Do you know what hurts so very much?  It’s love.  Love is the strongest force in the world,

and when it is blocked that means pain… we can kill that love so that it stops hurting… or we can ask God to open up another route for that love to travel.

  2. Shannon, thank you so much. I don’t know what to say. I felt like this blog was you encouraging me after that news we received this morning, in a way that is so personal and deep.

Don’t know what I would do during these times without a friend like you.

“There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” And my uncle knows that right now, better than any of us.

    Thank you, friend. Onward.
